On my main system, I have 1 36GB Raptor as my primary drive, and 1 120GB Seagate 7200.7 as a secondary drive. I'm runnnig a P4 2.8C on an 865 chipset, and both drives are connected to the ICH5R (they're not in RAID though). Last night, for fun I decided to run Sandra on my Raptor to see what it came up with. I was a little surprised-I ran it 3 times, and each time it scored 43MB/s. I thought that seemed low for a Raptor, so I made sure I had the latest Intel INF drivers, defragged, etc. Still 43. I then decided to run it on my Seagate, and it scored 53MB/s. This doesn't seem right, does it? What do you think could be going on here? Does that score seem right? I realize it's not in RAID, but still.

Sanda isn't exactly a good hard drive benchmark so I wouldn't worry about the score you got there. HD Tach is a much better hard drive bench mark, as it was designed specificly for that. Here's a link: HD Tach
