low resource firewall?

anyone know what firewall consumes the least resources? been using zonealarm for quite a while and figure theres something probably better out there

My question is...I have WRT54G router but does it protects from trojans horse, worms any others I think Firewall can protects everything.

Been looking for one myself, I ditched Kerio 2.15 after BSOD issues, switched to Comodo but 20 Meg of RAM is too much, currently using Ashampoo Personal Firewall and it takes up 10 meg. I'm interested in trying Ghostwall as it claims to VERY low impact. An older (freeware) version of ASF Personal Firewall claims to have a small footprint. hmm..the ghostwall seems pretty cool plus its free, cant beat that
i'll have to do some firewall tests first, if it passes i'm keepin it..thanks

*update...nevermind, only protects inbound threats, i prefer both as i like to control what goes out.

kerio costs bucks, za free version serves its purpose yet not worth paying to have another that uses fewer resources, i guess za isnt too bad

I likewise experienced BSODs with Kerio 2.1.5 only recently after years of trouble free use (except for buffer overflows corrected by a simple registry edit). Also tried Comodo 2.2.0.11 and was in shock & awe at up to 80MB RAM useage so quickly 86'd it. Subsequent versions are reportedly somewhat less bloaty but still a hog compared to Kerio. Sooo, my solution was (drum roll please)... Kerio 2.1.4, which eliminated the BSOD and allowed me to carry on with my precious saved config.

You might also try Agnitum Outpost free but I think it's at least as olde as Kerio. My thinking is that if I do switch to sumfing else it has to be low on resource useage, focussed soley on filtering (not anti-virus, intarweb blocking & c.), reliable, current performance-wise (suitable buffering & c.) and actively supported. Alas, such simple requirements seem to preclude any freebees at the mo' and indeed many paybees. I have considered Agnitum Outpost Pro but haven't been arsed to try it yet as Kerio continues to do the job.
