I'm using a P4 2.8 ghz, 1 gb ram, low end system for a Mame cabinet. It plays most Mame games fine but I want more performance out of Dreamcast emulation and some PC games . . Nothing like Crysis or anything but fun mid-range arcade style stuff like Spiderman: Friend or Foe or Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
Here's the thing, I'm using a Geforce FX5200 in a PCI slot. Is this dragging the system down? I'm kind of a newb at all this, but not enough of a newb where I don't know this card blows.
Would ANYthing be better in the AGP slot? (I had the FX5200 from a PCI only system that died).
Basically I'm looking for an AGP card for $100 or less. Is it worth it? Any recommendations?
