Low profile video card

Sorry if this was asked recently, but low profile didn't work well as a search heh. I want to build a HTPC/light gaming machine, and was wondering what options to look at for the video card. I like some low profile boxes, so I was looking at the 9600GT low profile card.

Does anyone know how this will handle SC2 @ 1080p? What other cards should I look into?

Cool! I didn't know that existed.

What advantages do the full size counterparts of low profile cards have? Is there any performance difference? Or is it just heat/price?

the performance for that 98800gt should be the same since the specs are identical to the normal 9800gt.

PowerColor recently launched a low profile 5750. Here's a Techpower up review. However, I havne't been able to find it in a retailer yet.
