I need a low profile 16x graphics solution. What I found available are the following,

XFX 6600 256MB Probably my primary choice over many.

HP's x1300 256MB LP card. This card is decent, but very hard to find.

Power color x700 LP. 4 pipelines, is understood. But, there is way to flash the BIOS to get the 8 pipelines out if worse comes to worse.

The card I'm really interested in is the Sapphire x1600 LP. Anyone know any current news on it's availability?

O, i thought you just meant low end cards. Didnt realise about the case. My bad

But the 7300GS is pretty good for what you are looking for. They are cheap too.

Thank you people. But, I think I'll wait for the x1600 Low Profile card from Sapphire that I linked in the OP.

Check out Dells site, for some reason I can't view all of there low profile cards unless i'm logged into to premier though. They have some Quadro and FireGL low profile cards, if you're willing to pay. You're best bet is waiting for the X1600 as that seems to have the specs for lp cards right now.

Not to hijack the thread, but I've been wondering about some low-profile PCI-e cards myself. In particular, I'm wondering if the X1900XT 256 meg card will be available as a low-profile solution.

There is a 1x PCI-E low profile X1300 card on newegg. Great for a prebuilt machine w/o a 16x slot.
