Low profile modem and other cards

The idea of building a small box is becoming very appealing to me. There appear to be some nice small cases available, but are there low profile cards commonly available?
 
As long as the card itself is half-height you can cut down the bracket to fit your case. I did this with a modem and was very pleased with the results.
