Durable
Any CPU
Very modest video capabilities (able to play standard def DVD is good enough)
Doesn't need to be tiny, but reasonable in hunkiness
<$450

I was thinking maybe a used X61 or something would fit the bill, but they're mostly listed in the $700 range on Lenovo outlet.
 
Whoa, the Inspiron Mini 12 looks pretty attractive. My main qualm with most of the netbooks was a lack of screen real estate. Would be nice if it were even cheaper though XD
