I'm looking for a new video card for my low-power PC. I need about the speed of a 8800 GT. I just want it to use as few watts as possible.
Thanks.

A radeon 6670 is the most powerful card you can get that doesn't require a 6pin power connector from the PSU, or in other words the best card that runs entirely off the motherboards PCIe slot for power. It should offer similar performance to an 8800GT.

6670 is about 1.5 times faster than a 8800GT.
a 6670 is about 15-20% faster than a 5670 which could not even beat the 8800gt in many cases. a gddr3 version of the 6670 would likely never even match an 8800gt.

Go with a gddr5 6670. It's on par with an 8800gt. They share blows with each other but they are roughly even.

While not as slow as a 6670 with questionable performance a 6770 would blow the doors off a 8800gt while consuming a few watts more .

Would be what i would go with .

6670 consumes about 15W when idle, it's what I use
roughly the same memory badwidth as a 9800GT if you get the gddr5
but you get all the new features on the gpu side

My bad, I thought it would be faster than a 5750.
