low power file server: Atom board and RAID adapter compatibility issues?

I ordered 6 of the WD 2TB green drives during amazon's recent sale and I want to build a low power file server.

Looking at the selection of RAID cards on newegg I think I basically have to get a PCI Express RAID card as none of the PCI cards feature more than 4 ports. I have this one in mind:

HighPoint RocketRAID 2320 PCI Express x4 SATA II RAID Card

In order to make the system low power I want to get an ATOM based motherboard. The requirement that the card be PCI Express somewhat limits the selection. At the moment I am looking at this one:

ASUS AT3IONT-I Intel Atom 330 PBGA437 NVIDIA ION Mini ITX Motherboard

One of the reviewers for the HighPoint card said that motherboard compatability was an issue. Does anyone know if this particular RAID card will play nice with an ATOM based system? (If not, will *ANY* RAID card work with an ATOM?)

Anybody have experience with low power file servers?

My current file server is a WHS box, but it is not low power enough for me (it is one of the original MediaSmart servers which also happens to only supports 4 drives). The current version of WHS does not allow you to exclude the boot drive from the storage pool so I am going to start this one off with Windows 7. When the new version of WHS comes out I will migrate the system over.
