Not a very in depth article, but yea I'm sure there's stuff going on like any other high pressure setting. I wouldn't doubt it's even worse either. I'm sure jobs like that are about money, pressure, and influence and routinely have back stabbing as a daily part of it.

Based on the Politico article, the issue appears to be Tina Flournoy, Harris’ chief of staff.
My guess is that she will end up with a short tenure if her style results in a work environment that keeps talent from joining.

If so that’s bad and I hope they work it out. I did think it was funny that one of the main quotes was about how she wasn’t giving preferential treatment to large donors. That’s a good thing!

Almost inevitable we would reach a point that a lack of rampant outright corruption would could be sold to gossipy outlets as suspicious and get exploited by people who aren't getting to bend ears.
