Lol@You naming it Low End.
What's my Celeron called then? High?
Let's Switch!

Welcome to the forums.
Unless you really have the money, I'd go with Value Select Ram.

eh....

you are wasting a buttload(yes, a buttload) of money on that RAM. for the price of that 512 stick you can get a gig of regular value corsair or mushkin RAM. "fast" RAM does jack sh!t for the athlon 64 so you would be better off getting a gig of value ram.

besides that it looks fine ot me.

No the board is fine, I beleive he was talking about the CDROM drive, because you can get a CD-RW drive plus a DVD-ROM for like 20 bucks more ..

I would:
1) Swap out that ram for the two sticks of Corsair Value RAM, from above
2) Ditch the raptor and get a 120 or 80 GB HDD
3) Ditch the Asus CDRW and get a combo drive, like this. That way you can read DVD-ROMs also.

That should give you a little more cash that you can use to upgrade your vid card, for instance.

I recommend the DFI Lanparty over the Asus board, about the same features but the DFI is a much better overclocker and 20 bucks cheaper. just my opinion

Oh, it's plenty good, but you would have.. say 50 bucks to play with if you go the the above or simiar setup and put the money towards a say, vanilla 6800 or something like that. If you ditch the other stick of ram, you are looking at about 120 or so to use on a card or pocket, whatever. You can always throw in a stick of ram later.
