Looking for a solution to this problem-- when printing photographs with M$ Picture It 2002, my system comes to a crawl for the first 1-3 mins of printing.
Using a Lexmark Z65 with latest drivers.
Have a 1600+ with 512mb of Samsung 2700.
When watching with Memturbo, I see my 400+ megs free sitting there like normal, press print, and watch that go to 5 for a while.
I notice that my paging file doesn't even budge. Sits there at 1000MB.
Then after about 1/2 way thru the job, mem climbs up to 250ish until it completes, then back up to 400+.
So, is there a spooling setting I'm missing or something? I did just set that page file recently (i.e. haven't rebooted with it, but IIRC, you don't need to with XP), so why isn't it being used? Or is this just another crappy M$ product that can't manage memory to save its life?
