low memory on drive can affect gameplay?

hello kind people 😉
ive made a partition especially for windows (which i almost dont use anymore) of 5go. for some mysterious reason, having only windows xp professional installed, there's only 31.7mo of free space on my whole 5go. theres that file pagfile.sys or something thats large of 1.5go, but even when i delete it on linux it keeps coming back. anyyyyyyway
what im asking is : with so little memory left on my windows drive, can it affect my game and computer perfomances? i guess so. because, for example, world of warcraft is almost unplayable but on linux its ok. usually, its a little bit less smooth on linux. well thats it 😉

thanks!

Yes, that dinky little partition could be a problem. Windows XP requires a minimum install size of 1.5 GB. That's just the OS, no nothing else. I'd up the partition up to a bare minimum of 10 GB. Then again, I don't know how much HD space Warcraft takes up. Alot of games take a gig or more, so having some space and defragging now and again are good ideas.
