Low memory bandwidth with PC9200 RAM and 680i?

My ASUS Striker Extreme (680i chipset, 1102 BIOS) with 2 DIMMs, each 1GB, of Mushkin XP2-9200 RAM (5-5-4-12, 2.3V) consistently gets ~5.8GB/s of memory bandwidth according to the latest version of SiSoft Sandra, running in Windows Vista.

The CPU is a Core 2 QX6700 @ 2.9GHz (1066 system bus, 11 multiplier). The memory is currently set as unlinked, as it's running at 1143MHz while the FSB is 1066MHz. When I manually tried to set them both to ~1143MHz (and lower the CPU multiplier to 10), the system wouldn't boot at all. So I kept the async with the mem faster than the system bus.

But these scores seem very low? Any ideas would be a huge help.

Thanks,
Dave
