The message i think you are refering to is the one about your virtural memory beign to low, and it is not fixing the problem. Right?

The easy way to fix that is to bump up the Virtural memory! (swapfile) :)

You do this by getting into your control panal and then going to system. Click on the Advanced tab and then click on Performance. Then change away :). I think that the default is set to 192, but not sure on that. Just make sure that you have that much disk space before you crank it way up.

This shouldnt reduce performance. It will only u se the swapfile if it has to, and yes it is alot slower then your ram. So When it does dip into the virtural memory you will notice a change, but increasing the size will gerneraly not decrease performance.

sorry for not making my msg clear, what i mean is how do i disable the low mem warning from popping up other than increasing virtual mem or buying more ram to facilitate, im not even sure if you can disable the warning from popping up but then again i dont know jack about win2k.

its an OS message and it take priority over your games. how much ram are you running? it should pop up and tell you youre running low on memory. it could just crash your whole system instead of handling your memory properly. i dont think there is a way to disable this message and i dont think it should be disabled. if youre talking about degrading the OS performance, let the OS run as it was designed.

Having no free pagefile space and physical memory will hurt a lot more than having some.
