need a recommendation please for a utility to low level format my drive

it doesn't give the name of the drive manufacturer in sys_info just says (standard disk drive) but what i can say is i'm running win2kpro on gateway P3 667 mhz 256mb ram[6 months old]
any ideas what i should use

wanted to do a completely clean install of win2k ,i discovered some errors when trying to run .exe at the dos prompt,Microsoft said this behaviour was by design when upgarding from 98 to 2000.
thanks ...found the tool on my system CD all is well now
