I am looking for the most affordable 1080P camera that can deliver low-latency live video via the HDMI port. How can I go about searching for something like that? In other words is the HDMI port live or just for reviewing recorded video? Also if it is live, what kind of latency do you see if you connect it to a monitor and watch while recording? Is it in sync with the live action or does it lag?
I am finding it really difficult to learn this info about particular cameras. I am trying to research camcorders with this specific requirement in mind but so far I'm not seeing this feature being discussed at all.
Basically I am going to have a live HDTV monitor in the vicinity of where the live action is that is being recorded and I don't want the dissonance that happens when the monitor is lagging the live performance and you can hear both at the same time. Such as - lobby monitor vs auditorium, but you can hear the auditorium audio bleeding into the lobby, so you want the lobby monitor in sync with the auditorium.
