Low Frame Rates With NEW IIYAMA 19" 451

HI

I have a brand new Vision Master PRO 451 19" monitor.

System Specs:
733 P3
128M RAM Mushkin CAS2 Rev2
Geforce Annilator 2 GTS
WD HDD 15G or thereabouts

So I have all the latest drivers for the video card and the monitor as well. When I run Quake2 and test the FPS using DEMO1 I get only 60-ish frames at 800x600 16-color.

Now my old CTX 17" 1765GMe used to get 220-ish FPS. I even went to work and the Dell 17" M770. I got 240-ish FPS there!

I don't get it why my new monitor only gives 60 FPS even with the Anti-Aliasing turned Off.

Any thoughts?

Could it have set your video driver to sync buffer swaps with monitor refresh?

Yep that was it. I went home on lunch and changed it. Fixed it up nice.
