Low Frame Rates with Asrock 939

I have an Asrock 939 dual sata and the board has been running fine for several months.
When playing Call Of Duty 2 I couldn't get frame rates above 45 with my BFG GF6800 GT(AGP), so I bought a EVGA GF 7800 GT (PCIe).

The frame rates are no better..in fact I only get 20 to 40 most of the time.
On the old version of Call of Duty I get 60 FPS. It's my understanding that I should be getting FPS of over 100 or better.
I can't keep up with the other online players, even though my pings are 50 to 80

I ran a 3Dmark05 and got a score of 7385 so I assumed there was something wrong with the board or BIOS settings.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Maxtor IDE hd - 300GB (tests out at 60 mb/sec)

Do you have all drivers updated (BIOS, video, chipset, ...)?
Also what settings are you running the game at to get these framerates?
I've only played the demo for COD2 but I had high framerates. If the game
is a lot like BF2, maybe it is something where you would see a big performance
boost by increasing to 2gb of ram? That helped me a lot even before I got my
dual core cpu and 7900gt.

We MUST know what your in-game settings are, i.e. resolution, color depth, AA, etc.

BTW- I play COD 1 at 1024x768 with all the eye candy on and I lock my fps in my config at 100 fps....stays there like a rock.
