arg..im hitting low FPS with this card i just bought today..tested sof2 and got an avg of 40-50 fps with medium settings(1024x768 with medium details and such..)..then i decided to use counter strike(with about the same settings as sof2) since its less graphic intensive and oddly enough, i couldn't even get passed 30 FPS..then i ran it through 3dmarks 2001 SE two times and got a score of about 1940 which is nothing near what i should be getting!!!..so my question is, what is wrong here??? i am using all the latest drivers from ati's website for all features(tv tuner, capture driver, display driver, etc.)..everything is set at default/factory settings..and my comp specs are amd XP 1600 on an epox 8kha+, 512 crucial ddr, 60 ibm deathstar hd, santa cruz sound card.. i bought this card not for gaming but if it cant even at least outperform my geforce 2 ti, then i might as well return it back and get a different card for cheaper..so any help would be appreciated..

I also received similar scores on my LAN box until I installed chipset drivers.

P3 800
MSI MS-6315
512 MB SDRAM
Radeon AIW 8500DV

Now I get great framerates, and I score 5500 in 3dmark2001se (give or take 15 points)

What "shooters" said.

You have get rid of the old Nvidia drivers. I've heard a lot bad stories about how ATI drivers and Nvidia drivers don't mix too well.

I have 1900XP system , with a REALLY bad unoverclockable Radeon 8500LE. It's stuck at 230/230 (anything over....it locks up). But, even at that clock rate , I still get scores in the 8,100-8,300 range.

With your setup , and a card that is clocked slightly higher, you should be getting close to that. Most likely there are some old Nvidia driver files still left on your computer.
