Hi,
Systems Specs:
Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit RC, Updated
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750
Mobo: abit IP35PRO
Networking:
Supplied by Verizon, for fios, 20d/5u
Not sure if it's a Westell Model A90-9100EM-15 (Sticker on back)
or a UltraLine Series3 Model 9100EM (on front of modem/router)
Anywho, I had XP and updated, so I installed win7 on my computer. I have the internet and it works fine, although, the networking center on the computer never gives me a signal strength higher than Fair. The computer is directly plugged into the modem, that's why I'm curious as to why it's such a low signal strength. Is this a known problem or does anyone have any suggestions? I use ventrilo (VoIP program) and what will happen is I won't hear anything for approximately a minute and then everyone's garble comes at once and it's like everything comes in clumps. I'm not sure if the two problems are related or not.
Thanks.
Andrew
