Before I say anything, here are my important specs:

MSI K7N2 Delta2
Athlon XP 2000+
Masscool heatsink
768mb RAM PC3200
133mhz fsb

My question is if it was worth it to upgrade the XP 2000+ to a 2800+ or some other socket A cpu's. I know the 64 bit market is taking over but I don't have the money to replace everything. Flight Simulator 2004 is somewhat sluggish but runs alright at medium graphics. The sliders that have most effect are the scenery density sliders which I have it at very dense and dense. UT2004 I cannot have it on my LCD resolution 1280x1024 or else I get high 20's on primeval when A LOT of action happens which is pretty often if you have 16 or more players.

Opinions?

ATI Radeon 9500pro

Right now I'm only considering a processor upgrade but maybe a AIW X800XL later on

Here's my take on this. Upgrade to the X800 onec games start seriously lagging out. or once the new ATi cards enter the market. Don't worry about upgrading for a while though -> would be sort of a waste of money. IMO, save up money so you can build a mid-high ($1000 PC) next year. Don't take my comments too seriously though, it all depends on your situation.

I appreciate your comments.

I don't think my GPU is all that important for now because games that rely more on GPU are running fine (WOW?). Games that are more CPU dependent are mediumly lagging out (UT2004, FS2004)
