I am building another computer, and I have a choice. I could get a low end card for a 750 duron system, or I could move the Geforce 256 card to that and get a mid-ranged card for my new xp 1600 system for about $100. Please give me your opinions.

I don't do much gaming...just Diablo 2. I may be interested in dual monitor support, but that's not a certainty and would be a while off. TV out would be a plus. I might be moving my 56 " HDTV into my computer room soon. I don't know how much I would use it, but being able to pop some photos or videos up on the big screen would be nice.

After researching a bit more, I've concluded if I go with a mid-ranged card, I would want DVI + tv out. Dual monitor support won't be needed. I would go with a larger flat panel instead, and move my current monitor to my other computer. Is there a nice video card out there with vga, DVI, and TV out for around $100?

the best video card for diablo2 is a voodoo5, fastest card that uses glide. 100$ for a video card is barely making it to low-mid end, adding extra "features" to the card pushes what you can get WAY down. Like a gf2mx, witch is kinda below low end by now.

I know, but I would think there's a deal on a geforce 2 with the bells and whistles for close to $100. I should have jumped on the best buy geforce 3. I guess thousands are saying that though :disgust:

Exactly. V5 is hands-down the best card for D2. Throw in an Athlon over 1 gig and enjoy the 4x FSAA beauty at killer framerates. Throw in LoD and up your resolution to 800x600 and you'll feel like you're playing a different game.
