Low Color Depth with QuickCam Pro

my newQuickCam Prooperates at a very low color depth, something like only 16 colors. I have tried installing the camera on Windows 98SE, Windows 2000 Service Pack 2, and Windows XP with the same results with QuickCam software versions 5.3 and 5.5. I tried a QuickCam Express and it worked fine with normal color depth.

I also tried my QuickCam Pro on a Dell system with Windows 2000 and QuickCam 5.5 software and the color depth was also low.

The USB port is built into an Abit BH6 Revision 1.01 motherboard.

help please?

Check logitech homepage for an updated driver. The color depth of the cam is a function of its driver.
