I don't think you want to buy a Slot A Athlon. Think about this: you can buy a Epox 8KTA+ for $85 shipped from www.newegg.com. You could slap a $55 Duron 700 on it, unlock it and overclock it. Plus, at least with Socket A, you'd have an upgrade path. No sense buying a dead system unless it's a second system. Then i can understand it.

Actually, the Blaster PC doesn't come with a processor, that was the old tigerdirect deal. I just worked up some numbers on this today, and for me, the Blaster PC turned out to not be a good deal. The real problem you have with it is that it has a BX chipset on a basically non-overclockable motherboard. You are stuck with buying an intel processor which adds a lot to the cost (compared to AMD). Plus, like I said, looks like this motherboard is nonoverclockable, so in order to get any decent performance you need to buy a faster processor than you would with amd, which drives the cost up more. If you look around, you can find some ATX cases w/ power supplies for about $25 for a 250 watt. Then, do what vyle said and get the duron/epox combo. You'll end up with a better system for equal or less money.
