Low Benchmark Score, time to upgrade?

I've had this rig for awhile now, and just slowly update as I get a little extra cash. Here is my current rig:

AMD XP 3200+
Soyo SY-KT600 Dragon Plus Motherboard
Geforce Ti4600 128mb
Corsair Value 512mb (2.5 Cas) PC3200
Western Digital 40GB HD (2mb buffer)
Sound Blaster Live! Gamer 5.1
SL350 Power Supply
Generic Case
A DVD Player and a CD-RW

I just bought the RAM the other day, and thought that would improve performance significantly, but it hasn't.

My Benchmark score, stock, is at 1888. If I overclock a bit, I can get it up to 2000. I figured my system would perform better than that, and frankly I'm a little disappointed.

My question is, what can I do to increase performance? I want to replace maybe one or two things, with a budget of about $400. I've been considering a 72gb Raptor for a while now, but I am not sure how much that would improve performance in games. Any help would be appreciated.

A 6800, 6800GT or X800Pro would do the most for gaming performance.
A Raptor wouldn't do nearly as much, except affect initial load times.
Once you've loaded a level, it will have no impact.

what exactly are you looking for? if you want frames per second, upgrade just the videocard, everything else is fine.
if you want faster load times, faster opening programs etc, get a faster hdd as Lonyo said.. memory won't give you a speed increase, it just gives you the extra headroom for overclocking and/or tightening timings.

I guess I need a new Vid Card then, I have something against radeon, so i'll probably go with a new nvidia 6800, thanks guys
