I've read on here a lot of how people are having trouble using up 1GB a month of data on their smart phones when streaming internet radio, and I find that impossible to believe.
I've been using Shoutcast, finding 24K streams and the thing is still probably running 20-50MB an hour, blowing my through my data in less than one work week. I can't connect to wifi where I'm at.
I don't understand how you guys can stream music regularly and still stay under 1GB. Any suggestions of what I can use instead of Shoutcast on my iPhone?
I'm up in Canada, so Pandora won't work.

I think most people who say they use streaming radio but fall under 1gb a month are those that, like myself, occasionally stream it in the car during our commute. Not those listening to it for 6-8 hours a day.

My last bill had me at 6Gb last month.
At work I stream Sirius through my phone and I don't have any Wi-Fi hotspots near me.
Thank God for the unlimited data plan.
