Basically it's a normal cheapo 300W PSU on its 3.3v and 5v rails, and then it's 2x500W premium PSU on its 12v rails.

Did you notice it sucks 1400W to produce 1000W output? That is horrid efficiency.

By comparison, PC P&C's 850W uses 980W. You do the math...

Well most PSUs fall between 60-80% efficiency. So it's not that horrid.
