I just ran 3D03 with my SLI 7800GTs and got 16k.... I got 17k with one overclocked 7800GT before... what happened? All my settings are set to performance and AA and AF are off.

In 05 I get 7500 in SLI.... i got 8100 before with one overclocked 7800GT...

I also noticed that when I check my temperatures for GPU 2 in the temp settings it says 0C... is something wrong with one of my cards?

In the nvidia display settings it says SLI is enabled.... But do i have to enable it on the motherboard or in bios? My board is an eVGA NF41

What is set in the nVidia driver options (performance / direct3D) as SLI-mode?
At default it is single gpu rendering, i.e. no SLI-usage ;)
Set it to either split-screen or alternate frame rendering (2).

Make sure the motherboard is in SLI mode (usually done through jumpers, a selector card or a BIOS setting) and try switching the cards around to see if the other one is working. You should be getting in the 12k-14k range in 05.

There arent any jumpers or CMOS settings for SLI on this board. There are 2 8X slots and 1 16X, if the 8X slots are populated, it enables SLI. I would check your driver as Docweir said. Ill bet its set to single frame rendering. Just manually select the 3dmark profile, or change the SLI rendering to auto.

yeah i didnt check off the multi gpu rendering.... so thats probably whats happening. It says SLI is enabled but I didnt know you had to enable it in the performance section as well

i had the exact same problem

you have to uninstall the drivers first...then use drivers cleaner

then install your new driver....now you're good to go

this is a brand new build with a fresh windows install... Under the "SLI Multi GPU tab" in the display settings, it says SLI is enabled... but I guess there is another part you have to enable in the performance settings tab as DOC said... So i guess ill try that when i get home

well that didnt fix it.... Everything for SLI is enabled yet my 3dmark scores are the same as with one card.

I have dual GT's, but I never had that problem.

I score about 12k in 3dmark05, right were it should be. Yours seems a bit low (alright, really low). Uninstall drivers, try latest betas, ya know that kind of thing. Make sure setting in bios/jumpers/SLI Card thing is is the right way and the settings are the right way (like 8x, 8x, 1x, 1x <-sometimes like that to show were the PCIe lanes are going) and sometimes it uses a card that you flip over to enable the split lanes and sometimes it uses jumbers to enable the split lanes...

Try using FRAPS and see what your FPS in games are. And make sure the AA/AF is DISABLED (or set to application preference) and that Image Quality is set to high performance (<-settings to get HIGHEST possible 3dmark score).

After that, well, I'm out of ideas for now. And one more thing I left out, make sure SLI bridge is inbetween the cards.

And the latest offical betas at this point are the 82.12's that you can get from Nvidias site. I prefere them over the 81.98's for a nuber of reasons.

do you have coolbits?,... if not ,.. get it ,..coolbits 2.0,... then go to your nvidia control panel,...open "advanced settings",... scroll it down to "sli rendering mode" and set it to "alternate frame rendering",...if you cannot set any of these,...for whatever reason, look to the motherboard you are using in this setup,..my guess is thats the culpret in this mystery ...hehe,..especially if gpu2 is reading 0c,...thats a tipoff the motherboard isnt registering it

edit: People,..stop running 3dmark03 on sli systems,....:p

What drivers are you using ? Maybe try driver cleaner and a different set ?

I am starting to think that way too. Try switching the cards around and see if the 0c stays with the card, or the slot.

Yeah i just switched to beta drivers and its working now... But now i dont have the option for alternate frame rendering, split fram rendering, etc. Just single-GPU or Multi-gpu rendering.

You need coolbits then, right???

I have coolbits 1 since I really don't need all the extra stuff, just enough to overclock my video card.

I gather Coolbits 2 has this options then????

So what was the final solution to the problem??
(I think you said something about new drivers?? I forgot :()

The score is were it should be. I'd say with 2 7800GT's, if the score isn't 12k then there's something wrong :D (not really, even 11K would be nice with GT's, it really depends on the rest of the system, but I score 12,600 marks :)

I dunno what the problem was. I change a bios setting, switched drivers, and switched some driver settings. So who knows. Thanks for the help all
