I recently upgraded to a socket 939 platform. Here are my old specs then new specs.
Old specs:
Shuttle sn85g4v3
evga 6800gt stock speeds
Athlon 64 2800+ @ 2.25ghz 250 x 9
1gb twinmos bh-5 non matched @ 2.9vdimm on a divider, 410mhz 2-2-2-5 1t
New specs:
Shuttle sn95g5v3 with silentx 250watt power supply
evga 6800gt stock speeds
opteron 146 @ 2.8ghz 280 x 10
1gb twinmos bh-5 non matched @ 2.9vdimm on a divider, 372mhz 2-2-2-5 1t
Games like Quake 4 are obviously faster and benchmarks such as superpi are at about the right speed for 2.8ghz. (31s 1m)
However benchmarks like aquamark3 and 3dmark03/05 are scoring lower than before. I'm using the latest 81.94 nvidia drivers, same ones that I was using before. my 3dmark05 before was around 5400~ now its around 4900. Aquamark3 was around 64,000 now its around 57,000. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this ? Any help would be appreciated.
