For some reason I am only able to hit 3dmark scores of about 6400 without overclocking, and then maybe around 7100 w/ overclocking some, but usually if I go a little further it will start to drop below 7000. I was looking at other peoples scores and I seen they were getting over 10k, any idea whats up with this?

P.S. This is with the latest detonator 40 drivers installed with the rig in my sig below..

Odd. Try updating your AGP drivers. By the way, are your games still playing very well?

Most games seem to play pretty good, although I just bought Medieval Total War and that runs like a pile of crap, but I havent had the chance to look into that more...

Im going to go download via 4in1 drivers now, I believe I already installed them when I formatted a few weeks ago, but Im gonna try again.

Did you uninstall the "old" drivers first Before you installed the latest? If not, uninstall them and then have a "fresh" install with the latest drivers. If you have the same problem, check what your voltage is on your agp/pci? also, try turning "off" the vsync in your properties settings of the video card.Remember, there are 2 places 1 is in 3d3 area and the other is in the open GL tabs.

Ok, I didnt uninstall first, but now im getting about 8000 max, its an improvement, but not much. Ill try and uninstall first and try it again.

What should the voltage be set at for the AGP/PCI?

Check you`ve FSAA off in Nvidia display panel ,that should bump your score up.

That is strange since I have a very similar setup with the MSI TI4400 and get around 9000 3DMarks. I bet if you reformat your HD and reinstall Windows you will see a huge performance boost. Trust me on that one, when I first got my TI4400 I got around 7000 3DMarks, then I reformatted by drive and reinstalled everything, and I went up to 9000. So that might be your problem.

hmm , well I just formatted a few weeks ago so I would like to save that as a last resort. I just dont understand how people with similiar setups are getting nearly double the marks.

What processor you have, whats your motherboard? If you have a FSB of 100MHz, then your agp/pci are at 66/33MHz.

Its an AMD XP 1800+ with a Abit KR7A mobo.

Ive gotten some better results making video ram cachable through bios and setting a few other things on through the bios, im up to 8500 or 9000 o/cing... I still dont understand how people are hitting the 14k+ mark!

I have a XP1600+ running at 150fsb, 1575mhz and a Ti4200 64MB at 285/565 and I get 11,090. With the 30.82's I got 10,596. Here are links to my 3dMark scores: Det 30.82 and Det 40.41. You can see my system specs below. The only tweaks I made were for memory: 4-bank interleave and cas-2.

Ill try the 4 bank interleave in a bit and see if that helps.
I am currently using the Det.40 drivers and the latest 4in1 drivers..about 9000 is my max.

Do your games run alright? Cuz that's all that matters....unless you play 3DMark all day.
