I don't understand my 3DMark2001 of 2929 for my Gainward TI 450 card. It's clocked at 250/400 and the reviews show scores around 5000.

Maybe it's the drivers. I am having no luck at all finding the drivers at Gainward. I keep going around and around with their model selection scheme. When I key in the semi-product code it states that there is no such model???

Can someone point me to the best drivers for this card?
Gainward Geforce2 TI 450 64MB

Thanx!

What is your CPU? Unless you're running a machine with a 1.4-2.0 GHz CPU, you can't get high 3dmark 2001 scores like that. List your system specs so we can determine what you should be getting in 3dmark 2001.

I see - didn't know that. This is in a testbed sys which currently just had a Duron 750 at default. Guess I need to put it in my rig (XP 1900+) to get accurate score.

I didn't know that the CPU would affect 3DMark2001 - guess everything counts!

Thanks!

No problem! Yeah it will definately score higher on the XP. I went from 2300 -> 3200 3dmarks with an original DDR Radeon (slower than your Ti4500) switching from a P3 733 (faster than the duron) to a Celeron Tualatin 1.4 Ghz.

a fast CPU can make up some ground where it is lost to a slower videocard. Not much, but a noticable difference at least. I'd also recommend you stick to Nvidia's drivers and forget gainward's.
