Hello, I just today purchased a BFG 6800 o/c, n/u. My computer specs are: A64 3400+ 754, BGF 6800 oc, 512 pc3200 ram(corsair), MSI k8t neo, audigy 2, thermaltake 420 psu. looking at options, i turned vsync off and aa/af is on application pref.this copy of windows is almost fresh and i ending a bunch of procceses before runing 3dmark. so whats the low score about? Any thoughts?

Thank you.

Seems like that system would score between 7000 and 8000. Updating your chipset drivers, vidcard drivers, etc is usually the most common culprit.

Additionally, you should run some other tests, preferably real-world applications and see how your system stacks up. 3DM is just a synthetic test, one that every vidcard maker has had optimization 'issues' with.

Yep your score is really low . . .

clean install win? what does "almost fresh" mean?
(what video card did you have before? left over drivers?)

did you install the MB chipset drivers?

What drivers are you running ? Is the power to the card strait from the power supply ... not sharing it with any other components ?

On my 2400+ M @ 2.4GHz ( 200 FSB ) I get a 9300+ score with my eVGA 6800 ( 350/760 ) overclock

I had a similar problem in that I was getting only about 5800 with my A64 3000+, 1 gig of PC3200, and 6800NU.

My problem turned out to be my mobo drivers. So make sure your motherboard drivers are up to date and it wouldn't hurt to do the same with DivX as well as your video card drivers.

After updating, my score shot up from 5800 to 8895.
