low 3d mark scores on new system?

I just ran 3d mark 2006 on the system in my sig. except only using one of the 7900 gt cards, I got a 4679 using the basic edition and default settings. Does that seem low? As far as drivers and stuff I've only installed the latest motherboard drivers from nvidias site (smbus and ethernet, not ide or nv firewall/active armor)and the latest graphics card drivers. Anyone have some ideas on things I could check?

Hrm really? Maybe I'm comparing it to an overclocked system or something. Say I got the opteron up to 2.4 ghz, what sort of 3d mark score would I get then?

05, and even more the 06 version of 3VDMark is very, very hard on graphics end of the deal. It's not a bad score.

I got 6100 in 3dmark 06 with a X1900xt @ 670/770, Opty 165 @ 2.7ghz 1gb of ram.

Ahh I see why I was confused, someone was posting their 3d mark 2005 scores with a similar system and I didn't notice the version.
