Low 12v? 10.8 too low?

I didn't notice that in the other thread. I would absolutely not use that PSU. It's awful, and that voltage is way out of Spec (11.4V is the lowest it should ever go to be in spec).

As for making a recommendation, it's better to know the details about what you're putting in, especially by "Some Hard Drives". My one system has 12 disks and 6 SSDs installed. That would call for different power requirements vs. just one or two drives. Is this going into any sort of special chassis? Or an E-ATX Case?

One ssd 250G for esxi and a few images and 2-4 xTB spindle drives in raid-1 for the backbone storage to those images.
I was actually planning on running it in the open on a small table.. In time it may go into an atx chassis

Thanks for your time man.

Cheapest option isn't always the best guide for buying a PSU.

Luckily, that one is average in quality and performance according to most reviews, but it isn't a gold rated unit (not even bronze, but is only 80 plus), and uses some second tier capacitors. Plus, that odd grill to make the lights shine evenly is restrictive, and causes the fan to run at higher RPMs.

Do you have any other options near that price in your location?

Not at that price bracket no, I could pony ~double up and get a "CORSAIR RMx Series RM750x - 2018 Edition"?
I have it running right now actually, I went on an expedition in my old hardware graveyard and found a 450watt seasonic in an old case that gave much better readings in the bios (12v at 11.7v) .. I am thinking it will do until I get a real replacement :).

Ouch. You must have some crazy pricing in your neck of the woods for the Corsair unit to cost double.

Whenever you do get another unit, I'd recommend looking for a gold unit or higher. Not only are they more efficient which saves you on your electric bill, they generally are the best built with tier one Japanese capacitors and better fans.

I agree with @UsandThem , I would not prefer that Thermaltake unit for a server board. That being said, my lower load servers take about 300 watts with 1 socket fully loaded, so at two with full load, your PSU can probably do it, but depending on what else you put in there it could get pretty stressed, especially at full load. I'd pay that $100 - $150 for something that will last and keep your server stable. A solid 500 - 600 watt unit will be more than enough for a server like that unless you start getting into big GPUs.
