Loving Win 7, but one annoyance

Been running the RC for a couple of months now but I have one annoyance that I can't seem to fix: I am running NIS Beta for Win 7 and in the process of downloading and installing the program, 2 icons were placed on the desktop (1 for download and 1 for installing the download). I delete these 2 icons now that the program has been installed but on each and every reboot or startup the icons return. I have even deleted them from the Recycle Bin, but they always return. Any ideas on how to put them out to pasture for good. I have never had this problem with icons before.

I don't run NIS but I'm going to assume this has something to do with their software, in which case they should have an options somewhere in it to stop the madness.

If you can't find an option, right click on the desktop and de-select "Show desktop icons". It's a nuke where you need a kitchen knife but it works. 🙂

I have considered your solution, but you are correct about the "nuke" when a "knife" should be available. I have tried to relocate those icons, but when I do that the program will not work. Strange but I guess that is why they call it a "Beta" release, hugh? Thanks for your time anyways. I'll update if I find a solution.
