Loving Lincoln right now

Good God, that car pictured in post #23 is hideous from all angles. Is that the current Lincoln styling trend?

edit: Well, I guess the sedan is not hideous from the back 2/3 view. The other two are horrific.

Why in the world they couldn't go pick the car up from the dealer?? That's just lazy and bizarre....but I guess typical

Because there was no way to cancel the "bespoke experience" car delivery nonsense at first; they had to speak with one of the managers at the dealerships to be able to just do it on their schedule.

The MKT is one of the most hideous cars on the road right now. The back half of it is just an abortion of design elements that couldn't generate anything remotely cohesive.

I completely agree with this. The MKZ is passable design with a really nice interior. They need new styling.

At the last auto show, I was actually more impressed with the MKZ interior than the ATS interior. The MKZ had the advantage in the details. Just can't get over the styling.

They need to make a big mafia looking Town Car, a big mafia looking Continental with suicide doors and a retro-styled Lincoln coupe with lots and lots of power. They'd be profitable in no time.

That said - I simply can't understand Ford's direction for Lincoln after 2006 to now. I have no desire to buy another one and when I was shopping for a new large sedan (I just purchased a 2012 Chrysler 300) Lincoln wasn't even in the running (although the Taurus was).
^ This. That's when they axed the LS :|

OMFG it's a Cylon raider!

saw a new mkz before it came out (friend of a friend had a press car) - it was really sharp in person. didn't get to sit in it for a drive, so i don't know any of that, but it looked nice.

Looks like a hearse. Awful.

My thoughts, exactly. I wonder if the designer claims that he based this design on some old Lincoln styles...

Perhaps Ford is trying to run Lincoln into the ground to avoid the dealership lawsuits that would result from closing down the brand.
