i ordered a 8rda (not the plus model) from newegg for $103 shipped because I have an audigy and linksys nic that works fine for me already and i must say this is how AMD computing should have been!!!
Great stability, much more than my VIA based boards have been (had the 'pleasure' of fighting the kt133/133a/266a), i had faith in nvidia and threw in the old 3com 56k gaming modem, NIC, audigy, geforce3 and hauppauge wintv tuner and it all works!!!!!
also my memory took nicely, 2 256mb sticks of pc2100 crucial.. everything seems more responsive and I think IDE transfer speed went up.. gotta do some benchies. At least now, using my devices that use the IDE/PCI bus don't crash the system such as my audigy in EAX3 or transferring any large files over the hard drive.
To anyone in doubt this is THE chipset to have for athlons. The only other one I would consider buying again is the SIS735 because of its SDR/DDR support. I had any early ECS k7s5a that had a board flaw but I think the 3.x are reliable and have most of VIA's speed advantage.. which is rumored to have been stolen from SIS's 735 chipset anyway in the KT266A.
Dont waste your life messing with 4in1s, pci latency patches, ide filter drivers, miniports, all that crap.. GET an nforce2
