I was specing out my first ever build and I fell in love with this case.

In Win Dragon Rider ($149.99)

Problem is, every review I've read says that any heatsink over 150mm will not fit with the large side fan.

In Win Dragon Rider Review

I currently have a Coolmaster Hyper 212 Plus spec'ed, but unfortunately...154mm!?!!?

Any recommendations on a solid, reasonably priced fan/heatsink option that is not so tall that I can fit it in this case? I would rather not scrap the case but looks like 150mm may be the norm. I would rather keep the large side fan (I like the look) vs. removing for 6 120mm fans.

Please help!

If you need a high performance HS, then the only ones I could think of are the all in one water loops like the Corsair H50, H70, etc... Other than those, most of the top performing ones that I can think of would be too tall.

What CPU/socket are you needing to cool?

Xigmatek HDT-SD964
$28 + shipping
4 direct touch heatpipes, comes with 92mm rifle bearing fan, 133mm tall for AM2/AM3/775/1155/1156, but no 1366. Caveat is that many who purchased this from Newegg complained of missing mounting kits (mostly for AM2/AM3, but some for 775).

Thermalright Ultima 90I
$25 + shipping
A whopping SIX heatpipes in a heatsink at 139mm tall, unfortunately does not come with fan (traditional Thermalright) plus only comes with socket 775 and AM2/AM3 mounting. 1155/1156 and 1366 mounting kits available at extra cost. The best part is that it has clips for both 92mm and 120mm fans, so this is probably the smallest tower heatsink that comes out of the box with 120mm fan support.
