Love my 2600K

Just set up my 2600K and threw on a CM Hyper 212+. This setup rocks. It's quieter by a LOT than my 980X + Corsair H60 (screw the H60), and runs really coolly.

Easiest overclock ever! If Haswell is even better an overclocker, then I will be a very, very happy man. Now I just need a GPU worthy of this setup.

Would never even use an H60 even if someone gave me one.

Just came from a Phenom II x6 myself this thing screams, super stable overclocks, never go above 60c gaming/encoding and best of all, no need for water cooling like Ivy :awe:

Have to say I agree. Doing ~20% (typical) -50% (AVX, when it is avaiable) more work than my 1090t in DC at ~60% of the power usage. Impressive.

1090t @ 3.4, 2600k @ 3.8

My plan is to OC it until power consumption no longer scales closely to performance and call it a day. If I could get 4.4 that would be awesome, but I think that is too optimistic. That would be like getting a fifth core for free 🙂

That it was $200 is even sweeter. $295 out the door with an Asus Z68...

Same Hyper 212+. Was considering something more beefy or exotic, but it works well enough I don't think I'll bother now. Pretty happy with those too, considering I bought four for an average price of $17.50 shipped each.

OP, how is a GTX580 not worthy of a 2600k?! Crazy talk 😛
