Love for Windows System Image

Secure erase (for my SSD's) + Windows System Image (storing on my NAS) = heaven

so damn easy... granted my image is only ~30GB, but it's damn fast too. Maybe a 10minute process (and that is over estimating it)

How often do you SSD guys do the secure erase? I have 2 40GB X25-V's and 2 160GB X25-M G2's (so 2 raid 0 arrays)... i'm thinking every 4months or so...

Have you formatted your OS partition, and then restored the image to test whether it actually works?

If not, I suggest downloading Macrium Reflect, save an image with it, and than test your Windows image- just in case it doesn't work.

Yes I have and it works perfectly

i do a secure erase on my G1's each time i put windows on again. coming up soon, been on this install/degrade since the end of last year.

not running RAID I only secure erase if Im doing an image restore or reinstall. TRIM and the SSD toolbox are the only things I need day to day.

EDIT: X25-M G2 80 gig, Win7 64
