Louisiana people

I'm about to request off from work but I'm not sure if the colleges are still getting out for Mardi Gras since New Orleans is practically gone. Also will there even be any Mardi Gras in NO? I'm probably going to Eunice or Lafayette or something but NO is always a possibility if they are still going to do it.

Why wouldn't there be Mardi Gras? Did I miss some sort of major event or disaster?
Please let that incessant beeping be my sarcasm detector and not my locked in the basement so I never see the light of day meter.

You don't need beads lol. Mardi Gras is about crawfish, beer, women, getting plastered the night before then waking up at 8 in the morning and go marching around in a parade with thousands of other drunk people until about 6 in the evening then going and eating gumbo made with chickens they had caught and cooked that day, and beer.
