I built the machine in my sig a couple of weeks ago and installed the latest ForceWare drivers from nVidia at that time (v169.25) on a fresh install of Vista x64. When the system resumes from sleep the video card fan is running at what I assume is 100% as it's extremely loud... i'm forced to restart for the fan to return to normal RPM.
I've been in touch with BfG Support and we're playing the "update your BIOS and all drivers game" at the moment. No immediate solution is apparent.
From my searching others have reported the behaviour but the only proposed solution i've seen so far is to change the power management settings to prevent the system from sleeping. Not exactly ideal.
I find myself thinking about buying an Accelero S1 just so I don't have to deal with these damn fan issues anymore. When I pick up an 8800GT i'll just move the S1 over and call it a day.
Thoughts?
