LOUD Enermax PSU help..

I have an enermax EG365P-VE FC 350W PSU. It seems REAL quiet until the system has been running for 30 seconds, then it turns into a weedeater. 🙁 brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Is there any way to make it quiet down? I tried connecting it to my MB via the 3pin connector included, and NOT connected. Also tried with case door open, and with a fan blowing on the PSU to try and cool the temp sensor. NOTHING would slow the fans back down.

Anyone else have this issue?

NOTE: There is no fan control switch on the PSU.

Mine runs loud too. I'm considering getting an Antec TruePower to replace it when I can afford to. For the record, your PSU's rear 80mm fan should only run if you plug in the 3-pin cable that emerges from the PSU, but on mine, even the bottom 92mm alone is making most of the noise in my whole system.

If the psu is really that loud, and newer, send it back. Probably has a defective fan speed control circuit or just an obnoxiously noisy fan.

If your fan monitoring lead has 3 wires, it needs to be plugged in for the rear fan to run. If it has 2 wires, it can be plugged into any mobo fan header to monitor the rpm, even though the fan header isn't powering the fan.

There's an article on how to reposition the thermistor to reduce fan noise at www.silentpcreview.com, doesn't want to link up right, somehow...

Why not switch the fans? I had the same problem with my Fortron FSP 350W. I took out the .3amp fan and put in a .15amp fan. It works great and the air coming out of it is never hot.
