While watching live HDTV in DVBViewer for about an hour, the video within DVBViewer went blank (but not on the desktop) and there was a very loud buzzing noise which I think came from the PC rather than the speakers, anyone any idea what this could be? The weird thing is I was also recording it and when played back there is no interruption in the sound or video?
I'm a little worried as I had a similar problem some time ago where my mobo eventually ended up dead which I thought was the cause of the noise, I replaced the mobo & added a new gfx card and PSU, now I am thinking the Hauppauge HD-S2 card may be faulty somehow- is it possible for a card to emit a noise like this and damage other components🙁? I checked the gfx card temperature and it was low 46 deg, also felt round the tuner card and it didn't feel too hot.
