Loud ass eVGA 6800GT

After i had complaints about my old case was being really loud and which it was. I recently got a new case, an Antec Sonata. I modded it with my dremel to put a blow hole on top. Man i love my dremel tool the best investment ever.

Man this case is quiet however now all i hear is my eVGA 6800GT. It sounds like a freakn leaf blower. I was wondering if there is anything i can do to quiet it down.

Only thing i am worried about is that it will void my warrenty. Any way where i will be able to just screw the stock heatsink on if there is any problem?

ya, u could control the fan speed, and if you begin to get high temps you can get the copper heatsink from eVGA, but that may void your warrenty still, but maybe not being it's from eVGA

i dunno

I sort of doubt it sounds like a leaf blower.

I have to agree with his comparison with the leaf blower.

EXPERTool is from gainward tho, i dont have a gainward 6800GT i have a eVGA will it still work?

Yes it will still work. I have replaced the stock HSF with a NV5 and still use it to control fan speed.

Geez, i need to get a quiter computer then. When I had my EVGA GT in there I thought it was pretty quiet.

I cannot beleive these fans are that noisy as I have a 6800 Limited Edition eVGA with the ultre cooler and I cannot say it is loud at all but maybe my PCPAC power supply drounds it out.
