Hi,

This is my dilemma, at work I use Lotus Notes and at home I use Microsoft Outlook. I have a Lotus Notes archive, over 100 megs, which took a few years to accumulate. I have copied this archive, which is in a .nsf file onto a cd and copied it onto my home PC. Now how can I use it with Microsoft Outlook? Is there a way to convert it so Outlook can use it?

If anyone can help me it would make my life so much easier :)

TIA

There's an import option in Outlook that allows you to pull data in from outside applications. There's a couple options for a lotus "organizer". I'm not familiar with lotus in the least bit, so I don't know if that is what you used or not.

I really don't think you can, but then again I have only begun to support notes here at IBM/Lotus...but from what I gather the structure of nthe programs is so different that you cannot convert one mail database to be read using another program, well at least between notes and OE....(I am not a fan of Notes even though I support it)

I will give the "Import" option a try when I get home in 2 hours. Thanks for the suggestion.

After doing some more google'ing I think the "Import" option isn't going to do what I need. The Lotus Organizer is a different product then Lotus Notes.

I would think others would have run into this problem..

i looked it up, and it seems impossible without custom programs. Look on google.

Hmm, this would be an interesting project. I know that you can export the contents of a Lotus Notes database into a delmited text file, and that Outlook can import several types of text files.

Has anyone tried this? I'd be suprised if both Microsoft and Lotus didn't have some "enterprise" (AKA overpriced) software package that allows you migrate between the two file formats.

Anyway, give this a try.

This application needs to be installed on the PC which has Lotus Notes installed on it and in my case it is my work PC, so I will have to wait until Monday to give this a try, but it looks very promising.

Thanks a lot.

Edit: after looking at the requirements, I am not sure if the application will work with Notes version 5.x . I will post back on Monday.

I am getting the following error when I try to install...

The directory containing the Lotus Notes program files cannot be identified. For the Application Connector to function properly, the Notes program directory should be added to your system's PATH.

This is a windows 95 PC...any ideas...?
