Uh yeah I'd be pissed. It sounds like Goodyear is going to cover all costs for repair. Doesn't do much for the value though if it was all original/stock.

Man that sucks. Those Elises are sweet. I rode in a regular one and an Exige at a track a few weeks ago. Absolutely amazing handling. pics and pics of the cars I rode in. I also rode in a Caterham Super 7. That was nuts.

doesn't sound like the drivers fault, rather the technicians failed to read the manual.

Best quote of the thread so far:
It looks like the whole exterior of the car was tweaked rotationally at least a millimeter or so

Having too much money to play with. If the car is so special, and he can afford the car, I'm sure he can afford a proper jack and an hour or two's time to do it himself.

looks like he was having new tires installed. In that case, he'd have to have it done at a shop. regardless, maybe his time is more valuable to him than changing his own wheels.
it doesnt make a difference whether he's rich or poor. if a shop fvuked up like that, id be whining too, rich or poor.
and im sure u'd do the same

Put the haterade down.

I'd rather have too much money to play with than too much time to hate with.

First of all, he was replacing tires if you read it. Second, his FIL ran the place. He assumed there was competent technicians that could read and figure it out.

Obviously, it didn't work out that way. The point is - it's a freakin car. No one got hurt, which was the best thing.

No Baked is the wannabe that never inhaled; yet will spout out endlessly about such things.

He is the guy at work that always let's everyone know "Hey it's 4:20, almost time to go"

BTW that guy was fired.
