Not a clue. I could always try calling and asking tomorrow. 🙂Originally posted by: OS
Do you know what the asking price is?

The price isn't bad, it's like 40K, but supposedly all the production has been spoken for.

The only reason I went to that website is because I saw the Lotus on my way out of town today. I did a double take when I saw it too.Originally posted by: Dubb

I almost said the same thing but figured it was far more likely that you were just some random computer illiterate person that just stumbled across ATOT. 🙂Originally posted by: Dubb

Does Lotus have a partnership with Toyota? I noticed the post said that the car was "Toyota powered" and I also recall that Lotus engineers did a lot of the design for the MKII MR-2 (my baby 🙂). Nice looking car, tips the scales at a hair under a ton, IIRC.

Toyota's engine meets US specs. It's just a Celica GTS engine hopped up a bit.
I'm curious, the Morgan that Richard Hammond drove on Top Gear last week weighed only one ton, and developed 330 bhp.... And handled spectacularly. Is it better than the Lotus?
