Lottery Winners international programs

apparently they are somehow associated with Walla.com

as the sender's email has that extension, and they told me to reply to them. and apparently Walla.com is a legit site. but is somebody using their name in vain?

i've heard of many applications where you can "forge" the sender's email address.

anybody heard of what walla does? other than providing 1gig of email?

Please never forget the following: If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.

EDIT: And in these cases they ALWAYS are too good to be true.

yep it is indeed a scam, just putting the subjectline into google it gave me multiple sources claiming it's a scam alright.

Scam.

I work with financial crimes and I have seen many victims of this scam.

You win an international lottery which you never entered and you're not a citizen of that country. They want you to pre-pay taxes before the lottery winnings are sent to you.

Can you say sucker?

btw, from the way bacardi151 posts, does it sound like he's talking to himself or kind of just completely ignoring everyone else's posts?

how am i talking to myself? do you have a difficult time to interpret my messages?

the reason why i came here is to 1. get information about this, and 2. other people can use this information to their own benefit. i did a search for this in this board but came up with no result so i decided to start a topic.

"yep it is indeed a scam", quoted by me. and what's the implication in that? that i'm agreeing that it is a scam like the previous posters have stated. maybe you should open up your ESL books instead of talking out of your a$$.
